Formation
Polychrome Jasper is a variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of quartz (SiO₂), formed through the consolidation of silica-rich sediments over millions of years. The stone’s multicolored patterns are created by the presence of iron oxides and other trace minerals during its geological formation. Polished points are shaped from rough material, then cut, ground, and polished to highlight the stone’s natural colors and distinctive patterns.
Function
Widely used for wholesale distribution, decoration, and collections. Its bold variety of colors and polished finish make it an excellent choice for interior design, artisan displays, and retail resale.
Care
Clean with a soft cloth or mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive products to preserve the polish. Store carefully to prevent scratches or damage from impacts.
